In a previous blog, we went over some of the most influential and informative books on green or renewable energy. But for those of you who prefer to learn through imagery, we’ve come up with a list of some of the best films on green energy. Each one is available through at least one streaming service and can provide some insight into the history and future of the renewable energy movement.
1. An Inconvenient Truth (2006)
One of the highest grossing documentary films of all time, An Inconvenient Truth was created by director Davis Guggenheim and former U.S. Vice President and screenwriter Al Gore. The premise of the film is based on Al Gore’s campaign to educate Americans on global warming. The film introduces global warming as a scientific issue and a moral issue. Though it was released 10 years ago, the examples and evidence provided are just as relevant today.

2. Carbon Nation (2010)
Created by Peter Byck, Carbon Nation is a documentary about our growing carbon footprint. The film is driven by interviews with experts, green energy supporters, and more.
