Choosing an energy provider is an incredibly important choice. Ohioans have had the option to choose between energy providers for a few decades now. You can choose from a variety of offers and determine the plan and price that is right for you. You also have the option to choose from alternative sources of energy production, including wind power and solar power.

With such a wealth of options available to energy providers, and the vital importance of electricity, it makes a lot of sense that you would want to make the most intelligent decision; and to make the best possible decision, you have to do your research.

So why should you research new energy providers? Simply put, for the same reason that you would compare prices for any other product or service.

Even if you are happy with the rates and service being provided by your current energy provider, it doesn’t hurt to look at what is happening in the rest of the industry.
